Important: At Retainers For Life®, your care is our priority. Retainers are custom-made based on the intra oral scan of your teeth provided by your orthodontist. It is essential that this scan accurately reflects the current position of your teeth to ensure a precise and comfortable fit.

If the scan on file is older than six months, your order will be placed on hold until an updated scan is completed with your orthodontist. Because teeth and jaw alignment can change rapidly, especially in children and teens, even small shifts can impact how a retainer fits and functions. Retainers For Life® will reach out to both you and your orthodontist with our recommendation to update your scan to ensure the best results. If you choose to waive the recommended scan or if you have not consistently worn your retainer, please note that any tooth movement may affect fit and the Fit Guarantee for this order will no longer apply. Our lab reviews every file carefully, and if any discrepancies are found, we’ll contact you before fabrication begins. All retainers are custom-made specifically for you and are not eligible for return or refund unless they meet the requirements outlined in our Fit Guarantee.

Hawley retainers require final adjustments by your orthodontist to ensure a perfect fit. For that reason, all Hawley retainers are delivered directly to your orthodontist’s office. After placing your order, please contact your orthodontist to schedule a Hawley Retainer Fit Appointment to ensure the best possible fit and comfort.

Fabrication & Shipping Times: Each retainer is crafted through a detailed, multi-step process—beginning with your intraoral scan, prescription verification, 3D printing of your tooth model, and final fabrication. Production typically takes 3–5 business days, and shipping generally requires 2–5 additional business days. Please allow 7–10 total business daysfrom the date of your order to receive your retainers. Retainers For Life is not responsible for carrier-related delays once your order has shipped.
